Trunk Extension. Mouth-Spine Rotation. Homolateral and Cross-Lateral Movements.

These Archetype Reflex Movements are among the first movements to develop and emerge in utero. Archetype reflex movements remain active in the body throughout life, enabling range and flexibility of motion, and the ability of a person to move through different body planes. Archetype reflex Movement Integration exercises aim to activate and engage archetype movements that have not emerged or need support.

Join Physical Therapist, Masgutova Graduate Graduate School Professor, and MNRI Core Specialist + Instructor Isabelle Renard-Fontaine on Friday, July 23 at 1 PM eastern for Archetype Movements.

In this 1-hour REPLAY active Zoom session, the Archetype Motor Movement Exercises aim to help promote NeuroReflex Integration and otherwise support balance, stability, and motion through:

• Core Limbs Flexion-Extension
• Mouth-Spine Rotation
• Trunk Extension
• Homologous Movements
• Lateral Spine Flexion-Extension
• Cross-Lateral Movements
• Intentional Movements

These Archetype reflex movements play a subordinate role in the maturation of more complex reflex schemes, including primary motor reflex patterns, motor reflex schemes, and the development of learned motor skills.

Video participation is optional. Recording (both audio and video) are strictly prohibited.
