Join us as we welcome Dr. Nelli Akhmatova, Ph.D. for an engaging presentation on the role of Visual Reflex Neurotraining and its potential to support neuroplasticity, regulation, and functional development. Learn how this emerging research is expanding our understanding of the powerful connection between visual reflexes, brain function, and whole-body health.

PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION

This presentation introduces a research framework exploring how Visual Reflex Neurotraining, a component of the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI®) method, may support neuroplasticity and whole-body regulation in children with neurological challenges, including cerebral palsy. The approach focuses on activating and integrating visual reflex pathways that influence sensory processing, motor coordination, cognitive function, neurotransmitter activity, and immune responses. By strengthening the brain's natural ability to adapt and reorganize, visual reflex intervention aims to improve visual tracking, posture, attention, learning readiness, and overall functional development.

Preliminary research highlighted in the presentation reports on measurable changes in brain activity, neurotransmitter balance, and immune system markers following intervention. Brain mapping data showed improvements in cortical organization and connectivity, while additional findings suggested enhanced regulation of stress-related neurochemistry and immune function across multiple clinical populations. Together, these results support the concept that reflex-based neuromodulation may help optimize the body's integrated brain-body regulatory systems, promoting resilience, recovery, and improved functional outcomes through neuroplastic change.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Nelli Akhmatova, PhD, MD, is a distinguished medical researcher, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and MNRI® Core Specialist and Instructor. She has committed to teaching advanced MNRI courses internationally and has worked directly alongside Dr Svetlana Masgutova completing an extensive amount of clinical hours serving families and individuals at Family Educational Conferences and Clinics.  As Head of Department at the Mechnikov Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera and faculty member at the Masgutova Graduate School of Neurodevelopmental Sciences, she has contributed extensively to the fields of neuroscience and immunology through her research and scholarly publications.
