ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Dr. Leah Light is the Founder and Director of the Brainchild Institute in Miami, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education, a Master of Science degree in Audiology, and a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. Dr. Light is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).

With expertise in neuro-auditory development, Dr. Light has extensive clinical experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of peripheral hearing loss. Throughout her career, she has specialized in the evaluation and treatment of Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), with a focus on supporting the neurological foundations that influence listening, attention, learning, and communication.

Dr. Light is also a certified Core Specialist in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI®) Method, an evidence-informed approach used to assess and integrate retained primary reflexes that may contribute to communication, learning, and developmental challenges, including APD. Through an integrative, whole-child approach, Dr. Light is dedicated to helping children reach their full potential by strengthening the foundational skills needed for successful listening, attention, learning, and communication.

The Bridge is a monthly live Q+A experience that connects parents, caregivers, and professionals with leading voices in neurodevelopment. It is designed to go beyond surface-level information, offering practical tools, real-life application, and direct access to experts so families and clinicians can better support regulation, development, and healing.
