This study examined 38 children ages 7–8 attending an urban school who participated in a five-month mindful movement program incorporating yoga, Tai Chi, and structured activities. Researchers observed significant improvements in attention, behavior, motor skills, and cognitive control, along with reductions in hyperactivity and disruptive behaviors. The findings suggest that movement-based interventions may support motor, cognitive, and emotional regulation in at-risk youth within educational settings.
