This study examined the use of MNRI® trauma recovery techniques in 134 children affected by the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, comparing their outcomes with children exposed to other traumatic events and typically developing peers. Researchers observed improvements in reflex functioning, emotional regulation, stress resilience, behavior, and cognitive functioning following intervention. The findings suggest that MNRI may support recovery from traumatic stress in children by promoting nervous system regulation and resilience, with earlier intervention associated with more favorable outcomes.
