Mindful Movement and Self-Regulation in School-Aged Children
This study examined 38 children ages 7–8 attending an urban school who participated in a five-month mindful movement program incorporating yoga, Tai Chi, and structured activities. Researchers observed significant improvements in attention, behavior, motor skills, and cognitive control, along with reductions in hyperactivity and disruptive behaviors.
