The Bridge: Understanding & Supporting Auditory Processing Challenges

Q & A with Dr. Leah Light - Replay

Tuesday, August 19th at 3:00PM EDT

Join us for an exclusive replay of our insightful conversation with Dr. Leah Light, Au.D., on supporting auditory processing challenges through the power of reflex integration.

Dr. Leah Light, Au.D., brings over 30 years of experience in neurodevelopment and auditory processing, offering valuable insight into how reflex integration can support children with listening, attention, and learning challenges.

💬 During the session, Dr. Light addressed a wide range of community-submitted questions, including:

💡Which reflexes are related to APD?

💡 How can the Masgutova Method Visual-Auditory Reflex Integration protocol support kids with APD?

💡 What’s the best way to address extreme anxiety that affects auditory processing?

💡What strategies, beyond writing things down, can help someone with executive functioning challenges and an APD diagnosis?

💡How do ADHD, ASD, and APD differ?

💡Do APD and visual processing disorders (VPD) often occur together?

💡 What would you recommend for someone who performs well academically but struggles with processing directions to imitate movements and other non-academic tasks?

💡How can we support the self-esteem and reduce the shame experienced by individuals with APD?

💡How can we address the “freeze” reaction commonly associated with APD?

This informative session offers parents, therapists, and educators evidence-based insights, practical tools, and supportive guidance for addressing auditory processing and related learning challenges.
