Join Dr. Leah Light, Au.D., Core Specialist, MNRI and MGS Instructor, as she presents the details of the Effects of auditory reflex maturation on the non-classical and classical neuropathways originally developed and presented by herself and Dr. Masgutova. The neurophysiological maturation/integration of reflexes affecting the auditory system facilitates language and speech development in infants, children, and adults. Reflex immaturity can delay and cause deficits in speech milestones and abstract thinking, interaction, and communication. Reflex maturation is foundational to building the subcortical or so-called non-classical auditory pathway (non-lemniscal) -ascending from the brainstem to the prefrontal cortex. This is a multi-sensory pathway transmitting auditory, tactile, and visual stimuli. Chronologically, this pathway develops first. The classical auditory pathway (lemniscal) following from the ear to the high brain (the temporal lobe) is supported by reflexes affecting the auditory system and the non-classic pathway. This is why it is crucial for help professionals and parents to address the root-cause intervention using the auditory and core reflexes to facilitate the auditory reception, processing, and also language-speech natural development.

Archetype reflexive movements are among the first movements to develop and emerge in utero. Archetype movements remain active in the body throughout life, enabling range and flexibility of motion, and the ability of a person to move through different body planes. The exercises aim to activate and engage archetype movements that have not emerged or need support. In this 1-hour session, the Archetype Motor Movement Exercises aim to help promote NeuroReflex Integration and otherwise support balance, stability, and motion through: Core Limbs Flexion-Extension Mouth-Spine Rotation Trunk Extension Homologous Movements Lateral Spine Flexion-Extension Cross-Lateral Movements Intentional Movements These Archetype reflex movements play a subordinate role in the maturation of more complex reflex schemes, including primary motor reflex patterns, motor reflex schemes, and the development of learned motor skills.
